What does home compostable actually mean?

Home compostable means our cups break down in a regular backyard compost bin — no industrial facility needed. Under normal home composting conditions (heat, moisture, microbes), the material fully returns to organic matter, leaving no toxic residue or microplastics behind.

What does PE/PLA plastic-free mean?

Most paper cups are lined with polyethylene (PE) or PLA plastic to make them waterproof — which is why they can’t be recycled or composted. Our cups and lids use an aqua-based coating instead, meaning there’s no plastic lining at all. Just plant-based materials, all the way through.

Will they perform like traditional cups?

Yes. Our cups hold hot and cold liquids just as well as conventional cups, with no leaking or softening. You won’t notice a difference in hand — but the planet will notice a difference in landfill.

How does composting work in real settings?

In a home compost bin, our cups break down within 90–180 days when mixed with food scraps and garden waste. Or throw it in general waste, leave the rest to the ground to look after.
